Q.: I get error: "CFileSystem_Steam::Init() failed:failed to find steam interface"Ī.: Probably your antivirus deleted some game files, uninstall it and install some other antivirus like Kaspersky! Then reextract game.Ī.: Because you don't have graphics card for games.

Or your antivirus can cause game crashes, read on Steam Support: "Counter Strike Source 2010\bin\stats.bin"!

"Counter Strike Source 2010\cstrike\gamestate.txt" Q.: When i try to launch game, I get a message that says "hl2.exe has stopped working"Ī.: Sometimes helps if you delete achievements! Delete those files: GO is just more updated and has an upgraded light engine, but textures and stuff all look the same to me.Q.: I get error "The Instruction at 0x referenced memory at 0x The memory could not be read"Ī.: Can be caused by many things, read there: But in all reality, both games are based off the same game engine. I sometimes get lost in the reflections on the floor and stuff, depends on how the map is made and lighting is done. Even know the game is quite old now, the graphics are still quite good. Sure Valve has made a few tweaks here and there, latest being the upgrade to the 2007 orange box source engine. Source is based of a game engine that is over 10 years old. Playing GO in like 15 fps inst a good experience believe me. If you have a really bad PC though, I'd say getting Source until you can make the plunge and get a better PC. Counter Strike GO is more competitive though as it still has official Valve servers and a strong community backing also. If you would like just to play with friends and have fun then I'd say playing Counter Strike Source as it is more community now then competitive. However, it all depends on your play style. Source is quickly dieing in sense of it being competitive.
