Try it if you are curious.Square Enix has released a new patch for DRAGON QUEST XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition that removes the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.

It makes reflections be at surface depth instead of what is intended. 0: depth of specular reflections (most of them) toggle. It disables most of the grass, improving GPU performance a bit. They look clearer, but the downside is that artifacts are more visible. This disables the blending of previous frames, preventing 3D inaccuracies in movement. 8: screen space reflections smoothness toggle. F5: characters, enemies and weapons cel shading toggle. O (the letter) or "XB_LEFT_SHOULDER and XB_RIGHT_SHOULDER" (R1 + L1): low convergence (60) toggle, good for cutscenes. F1: some help and preset information from the old fix. IMPORTANT: in the ingame options, choose fullscreen. Run the game and let it overwrite the profile the first time.

Download this file and extract its contents in the " DRAGON QUEST XI\Game\Binaries\Win64" folder, where " DRAGON QUEST XI.exe" is. To disable this, delete all "preset = Cutscenes" lines in "d3dx.ini". Automatic low convergence for cutscenes, although it isn't too reliable. Screen space reflections, with hotkeys to optionally disable them or make them not blend old frames. There's a hotkey to toggle most of this off (including parallax occlusion mapping), if you want to check how they look at surface depth. Fixed effects when using lower than native internal resolution. Improved 3D Vision fix for Dragon Quest XI, using the previous fix as the base (thanks to DHR for the universal fix, and everyone that helped make the original fix).
